Chaney Young, DNP, FNP-CNurse Practitioner
“As an East Dallas native, and I am excited to get to care for the community I grew up in. I completed both my Bachelor’s degree and Doctorate in Nursing at the University of Oklahoma, and I’ve been a nurse practitioner at OFD since 2024. I chose family medicine because I love building long-term relationships with patients and caring for people at every stage of life.
My clinical interests include weight management and nutrition, dermatologic conditions, and menopause care. I’m especially passionate about staying up to date on the latest research and helping patients sort through the overwhelming amount of health information out there—so you can feel confident knowing what’s truly evidence-based and what’s not.
I aim to create a comfortable, judgment-free space where patients feel heard and involved in their care. I also have experience with sign language, which helps me better connect with a wider range of patients. Outside of work, I’m a dog mom and a passionate animal advocate. I regularly foster rescue dogs—so there’s a good chance I’ll have one ready for you if you’re looking to adopt!
